Clyde “Ed” Sniffen, Jr.
Ed Sniffen was appointed as Attorney General in January 2021. He was appointed as acting AG in August 2020 by Governor Mike Dunleavy following the resignation of Kevin Clarkson. After graduating from law school, he worked as an attorney in private practice. He joined the office of the Alaska Attorney General in 2000, focusing on antitrust and consumer protection litigation. Prior to serving as AG, Sniffen held a variety of senior roles in within the AG’s office.
