BREAKING NEWS: Calif. Attorney General Becerra wins primary
(VCstar.com) – California Attorney General Xavier Becerra won his primary fight Tuesday to defend the job he was appointed to last year. he Democrat had about 44 percent of the vote and retired Republican judge Steven Bailey was in second place with about 27 percent in a four-way race. The top two advance to the general election.
Jones Brings Lawsuit Against Campaign Rival Becerra
(Metropolitan News Enterprise) – Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones yesterday brought suit against state Attorney General Xavier Becerra in Los Angeles Superior Court for allegedly breaking the law by using Sacramento’s Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building as the setting for campaign advertising, in the forms of a television commercial and a mailer.

(Law.com) – Dave Jones is raising questions about the propriety of a Xavier Becerra campaign ad inside the Third District Courthouse. Becerra’s campaign manager called Jones’s complaint a “desperate attempt” to save a “floundering campaign.”
