
Chris Carr (R)
AG Carr was appointed AG by Governor Nathan Deal in October 2016 after former AG Sam Olens resigned. AG Carr previously served as Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, a position to which he was appointed in 2013 by Governor Deal. Prior to that position, he served as chief of staff to Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson and as Vice President and General Counsel for the conservative Georgia Public Policy Foundation. AG Carr began his law career at Georgia-Pacific, then worked as an Associate with Alston & Bird LLP.
