AG Shapiro is serving his first term. Prior to his election, he served as Chair of the Montgomery County Commission while holding the position of Counsel in the Philadelphia office of Stradley, Ronon, Stevens, and Young. In 2015, AG Shapiro was appointed Chairman of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2004 to 2012, including serving as Deputy Speaker. He began his career on Capitol Hill as a member of several Congressional staffs, including Senators Carl Levin and Robert Torricelli and Congressmen Peter Deutsch and Joe Hoeffel.
