Bill to Elect Wyoming Attorney General Defeated
(KGAB.com) – A bill that would have changed the position of Wyoming Attorney General from an appointed position to an elected one has failed to win introduction in the Wyoming Senate. Senate File 76 would have made the position of Attorney General the sixth statewide elected office in Wyoming, joining Governor, Secretary of State, State Superintendent, Auditor, and Treasurer.
Bill to make changes to Wyoming Attorney General’s position
(KGWN) – On Thursday February 8, 11 new bills were submitted to the Legislature. One bill was submitted by Laramie/Goshen County Representative Anthony Bouchard. The measure states beginning at the general election of this year, the Attorney General (AG) must be elected in a statewide election for a term of only 4 years.
